-Coming Home to You-
in the midst of my sorrowful winter
alone and cold on the lake water blue
he came in a happy and warm canter
of sweet scented Autumn-rain hue
looking deep in the eyes of my Robin
clear and sharp as notes of his flute
his name, my heart kept constant whispering
a longing, if not answered, left me destitute
gentle butterfly-kisses of soft sweetness
keeps me enthralled as the works of Leonardo
turned me warm inside and out of my bitterness
safe and trusting, i believe, yes, i do
i long for you, my loverbear
am coming home soon, i swear

I like the tone of this and its natural sense of familiarity. It reads easy and flows gently, which coincides nicely with the suggestion of your words.
